Gina
Ritter is a writer of children’s
books and stories. She dabbles in cartoons and writes
humor columns and screenplays for adults. All of which
make her
extremely rich: she
has
a jar FULL of
dimes
in her
armoire.
A
native New Yorker, Gina decided to sell it all and
move her family of five
and
their two
pets over
3,000 miles to California in early 2006, taking only what they
could fit in two vehicles and ship ahead.
The
trip was a success (though the shipping was not) despite the
fact
that she wrote in a legal pad for four days while driving.
The trauma of being strapped into a car's seat for over
50 hours and using public restrooms in Nevada that wouldn't be
used in horror films is now merely a memory.
Gina's
the Momster of three young boys (and a baby on the way); one
who has been diagnosed Bipolar.
She’s not quite sure how that happened, but
is sure he wasn’t switched at birth. Diagnosis or no,
they’re all the cutest things alive, and if she were a cannibal,
she would eat them.
Married
to a man who threatened to tickle her until she said 'yes'
to his proposal; so far that's worked in her favor. She was
the first woman to convince him to leave the small mountain
he lived on and retire from bachelorhood, smoking, long hair
and rock bands. Ok, well maybe not the rock bands.
Life,
love, motherhood, and insane people make GREAT ideas
for columns, books, and cartoons!
Her
other projects and hobbies include publishing www.naturalfamilyonline.com,
gardening, and trying not to get pregnant. Sometimes.
